Thanks
This will stop approx 45 “my tire store/my dealer/ my xxx recommended xx PSI”
I worked for Goodyear Tire when first got out of college, at that time the shops pumped everything to 32psi. No one looked in the door jam. Now days every car has at least 3 different engines, suspension options, tire sizes, etc.
The only path for long term ownership of tire wear is to pick the setting recommended for your average load. Measure the tire wear center and BOTH shoulders in a few spots on each tire/ axle and adjust accordingly.
By the why, pumping up/down the tires to provide XX driving feelings will give you what you are looking for may create a tire load well beyond safe psi settings.
“Too hard? “Too soft?”Reduce/increase to xx psi, not a good path unless you don’t mind heavy tire wear to get you that feeling.
Most manufacturers have shoulder wear marks to help you adjust for hard driving situations.
The 4.6 & 4.8 vehicles get big tires and chew them up with ease.
