Crystalworks, one of the main reasons one needs to reduce the image size is so that it doesn't fill the entire screen! You've seen those lousy DIY where a single pic fills an entire page. Pics taken by smartphones are of a very high resolution. I usually resize them by 75% and that still can fill the entire screen with 4 high res images. If you post using tapatalk forum app, it automatically resizes your pics to keep within the limits of image size allowed for attachments.
Try it and you will be very happy with your pic posts as the pics will always be there for years to come - just attach, post and forget; no hosting image hustles and maintenance or costs.
