Another difficulty I imagine is finding someone to do the work. Sure, th valve body can be worked on by a specialist and that's probably highly recommended even but if you have no desire or ability to change the valve body or solenoids or sleeves or bridge seal, who's going to do it? Not saying there's no one but I don't think my dealer would have any interest and I'm doubtful my independent would either. The default solution to transmission problems in these vehicles is total replacement. At 156k, you have me worried. I guess I need a list of stuff.
