so, just an update on this..
I NEVER did get a dyno to prove HP/TQ before or after this mod, but I swore that as soon as I installed it, that it was making my drive form a stand still torquier than the factory e53 TB.
I have since removed it (and an reusing factory e53 TB again) to figure out a way to stiffen the inside of black plastic tube (as mechs kept overtightening the tube/silicone adapter clamp and eventually buckled the tube, allowing for external air to come in from the sides) and right away I noticed a reduction in low end torque.
I'm sure it could be all in my head, but I swear the difference from N62B4.4 & B4.8's TB used in e53s is somehow different from the one on the N62B4.8 of the E70.
It is definitely worth my time/money to see if I can buy a thin walled pipe to insert into the black plastic tube leading up to the silicone adapter/e70 throttle body, as I really want to put this back on my e53 but this mod will then avoid any over tightening of the hose clamp on the silicone adapter to the black plastic tube.
If it was just me ever working on the e53 then I'd be safe with the clamps tightening... but I do have other mechs work on it and they have less attention to this customized detail.
Will keep you up to date on this fun little experiement/mod (that may be useless to most unless you have some sort of upgraded mapping/software loaded)
