Hi All -
We have a definitive grounding issue on our 2009 X5 4.8. The starter died and we replaced it and the car still won't start. We put jump cables on the ground bolt in the engine compartment and then to the engine and it starts right up. We inspected the ground suppression lines
per this document and they look to be in OK shape.. so a couple of questions we're wondering if anyone knows:
- We're not sure what the replacement part number is for them as I can't find a replacement part that LOOKS like the one in that picture. I'm GUESSING part number 12427557027 or 12427568573 but does anyone know for sure?
- Are there any other grounding points other than at the battery and these two straps in the engine compartment?
