16.6/2.6 is ok reading. If you get a cylinder misfire the computer will shut it off and car will run like crap until you clear the code

You can get random cyl misfire from cam position sensor; was my first repair on my car and almost never will you get an error directly related to cps.

I would make sure you are getting full pressure for fuel at the rail.
