Smile new to X5, already love/hate

Hi all
Was not seriously looking for an X5, but found one in good condition priced at "fu(k it, I'll roll the dice..."

2001 X5 3.0
220,000km

I really love driving the car, the ride is excellent and power OK. I have owned Lexus RX300, Grand Cherokee, Suburban, RAV4 and Acura MDX and find the BMW a lot nicer as a daily. So far not quite as reliable tho'

When I got it, the ABS/brake/traction control lights all lit, but since I learned to drive when disc brakes were something to brag about, I didn't care if ABS failed.

My current issues that I care about and am hoping to get some help are:

1 - wipers sometimes work, sometimes don't. When they do work it is single speed all the time. When not working, they can stop at pretty much any part of the sweep. Also when stopped the sprayers quit. I am kind of thinking the switch on steering column?

2 - CEL codes p0171, po174 p1083 p1085 - assuming vacuum leak from other postings here. Is there a common failure point on the 3.0?

3 - p0369 - cam sensor B circuit - I have Bentley manual so can likely find/fix this easily.

4 - is there an easy way to disable seat memory? I am only driver and would prefer things stay where I last left them, not adjust to some useless default.

I do have plans to convert to LPG/Autogas if I can be reasonably confident of getting a few years out of this car.

TIA
K
