My parking brake module failed a couple years ago and I read and learned a bit on the differences between two systems then. I ended up pulling my parking module and sending it to be rebuilt (with new cables) which solved my problem, but I never actually studied how it brakes the rear wheels. I think(?) broken cables will throw a light/code, if not that may be your issue, but otherwise I’d guess parking shoes
