It still works as is but it is under stress. I've used it on my E39, E92 and X5 successfully with no issue. On my E92 it hoisted the engine for nearly 3 months as I was doing a turbo and engine overhaul. Yeah, I'll take mine to a welder to extend it a little bit and add a 'lil bit of reinforcement.
