I think what ard is pointing out is that a CEL is not a code and a stored DTC doesn't have to result in a CEL. I think I understand you to be saying that you scanned the vehicle and there is only one DTC.

There are no other pending or historical DTCs? I find that very hard to believe given your apparent symptoms. Not saying you're reading it wrong but maybe the tool you're using has limitations. I second the above - some extensive data logging is in your future.
