Just went to the pump, fueled all the way and then some! Nothing spilled on the floor (like the previous owner told me would happen to him if he filled all the way). No smell of fuel inside the car, unless I smelled too much fuel today and can't smell it anymore. The top of fuel pump is completely dry.
Thanks for letting me know about the clamps. The previous guy installed the worm type clamp. I didn't like it, as if I tightened it, it would actually squeeze the rubber through the little spaces in the clamp. So I decided to install the second clamp lol. After reading your comment I really loosened the worm clamp. By the way, even without the clamps, taking off that hose was extremely hard!
I will order the ones you recommend!
You're right the end of the hose is damaged and is kinda frayed. I was thinking about cutting it off. There's a bit of slack, but very little. I will cut it when I get the correct clamps. Btw is there any way to extend that hose a bit.
Honestly I don't feel the need for plastic hose clamps as there was very little fuel that spilled, especially compared to how much spilled from the pump.
Thanks for the tip though!
I will need to buy a better pump in any case, cuz the pump that's inside is actually smaller in size than OEM. I compared them because the previous owner gave me the old one he replaced.
The pump he installed is some kind of a no brand toy pump!
Well I guess now I can move on to the rear left tail light and parking sensors
