Coolant temp is ok, in degF as is EGT's. EGR percentages look about right.
I'd like another way of viewing these parameters in real time, but I don't want to replace my CIC with an android version. Any other options besides using an old cell phone sticky-ed to my dash reading the ELM OBDII bluetooth device?

Have you tried contacting "Torque App"? I use them sometimes to monitor and never had an issue like yours and I'm also using a Samsung (Galaxy). If I were you I would reach out them first and see that the App itself is fine.
I like
Btool expert app more but I'm sure there are other apps that do similar things.
