My Foxwell NT-510 showed up today and plugged it in and took all of 3 minutes to reset the clutches in the transfer case and then clear the code worn oil code.
On the Foxwell NT-510 I took these steps:
- Plugged in the Foxwell NT-510 into the OBDII port and let it boot up.
- Turned on ignition key to position 2
- Selected the BMW icon
- Chose automatic VIN identification
- Selected Service
- Selected VTG
- Selected Oil Change
- Prompted me through the reset procedure. (you could hear the transfer case clutches engaging and releasing and then a confirmation of successfuly reset adaptations)
- Backed out to Modules
- Selected VTG transfer case
- Read codes
- Found the worn oil code
- Backed out to clear codes and cleared
- Reinitialized read codes and 0 codes found.
- Backed all the way back out to start menu
Done!
