If BST fails, does it also not power the fuel pump?

Engine ECU won't activate fuel injectors. On diesel engines it will also prevent rail pressure rise by keeping fuel volume control closed and rail pressure regulator open.
Cable from BST powers only starter motor and alternator (and engine bay jump start connector) so if BST is open engine could work normally if you just get the engine turning (for example by towing or hill start with manual gearbox) as long as battery voltage stays high enough.
