So with a little goofing around I started to suspect the Transfer Case Control Module or VTG. I wasn't even aware there was one in the car. I popped the seat up to find a bunch of dirt and evidence of moisture and sure enough there is corrosion all over the plugs. BINGO!!! I am working on replacing this, I will clean the contacts and see if the symptoms improve but its looking like a lost cause.
