Protool was created by Bimmergeeks, the same ones that sell a really good cable. <-- Have owned and mistreated one for a long while now and it's still doing great. There's an older thread about it here :

I have Carly and
thankfully don't have to pay the subscription (bought it before they implemented that) and have tested Protool a few times but never bought the license. Probably will at some point now that it's been through some *coughbetacough* testing via public use.
