Like mentioned above, the black chip went away before 02.

It's a very tricky process to pair a key not one person in a hundred will pull it off. I will just order a factory key and pay the price to get it. Then I can open my current key and replace the wonky switches and re flow the solder (which I did on both my keys originally to get the remote function working).

You can buy an eBay key and pair with ews to use as a remote fob it just won't start the car unless you also have the original key close enough to the ignition key to green light EWS
