+1 Thanks for sharing this info here. My car started doing the same thing. I thinks it’s just a matter of putting it on park, releasing through emergency cable in the trunk, then press the brakes really hard. Then start the car, push down the parking brake. It’s back to its position. I haven’t tried, but that’s what is says in the tis. Will try next time and let you all know. Good luck.
