No the control arms some one else did about 5 months ago they were quite cheap ones also! But would hat cause this wobble? I thought when they went wrong they pulled left and right?

I would guess these are your problem. I would recommend Genuine BMW but there are Lemforder and Meyle for less. Make sure you have the X5 sitting at ride height when you tighten the mounting bolts. Tightening them in the air will cause the bushings to twist when lowered, causing premature wear.
