I have an 18K gold and stainless watch that I use for the above, and it has collected some scratches. However, to me it is not that big of a deal, so it doesn't bother me.

I've had the same watch for the last 12 years or so, so yeah, the replacement would get worn every day, except for when I sleep/shower... I don't abuse it and pretty much take care of it, 12 years of wearing it and all I've done is change the battery and have it cleaned. But I don't go out of my way to keep it pristine either, it's not my vette LOL!
