Korea only quarantined the sick, the at risk and the elderly. Everyone else continued to go to work and keep their economy going.

Still if you listen to the epidemiologists they say that there is anywhere from 5 to 7 times the number infected versus the number of confirmed cases, so taking that into account the mortality rate in the United States would then be even lower than the roughly 2% the CDC quotes.
