Since it's not an either or scenario, may I suggest a Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Chronometer. Stainless steel, you can wear it with anything, tough as nails, take it swimming in the surf, etc. Accurate to about 5 minutes per month after 6 years of constant wear...I have #2098...best part is I've never seen anyone else wearing one. Swiss made, by cat fanciers.
