Various virus with antibiotic-resistant properties have been growing in numbers as the world economies move toward efficiency and cost saving measures are prioritized over humane and healthy poultry growing conditions.
These crowded and unsanitary living conditions exacerbate the health conditions of the animals, reduces the function of their immune systems making them more susceptible to wide ranging bacterial infections.
As the animals grow weaker and more unhealthy, they are pumped full of antibodies to help them fight off the multitudes of infections they acquire in their way to the slaughterhouse.
It’s a nasty cycle that is the ideal petri dish for new and species crossing viruses to mutate and grow.
I think it’s more likely that these new and more deadly than ever viruses are a direct result of humans involvement in the environment.
Not necessarily any aggressive political or economical strategy to artificially harm any one country.
