You lucky US people. Not so cheap for Canada. Free shipping doesn't exist...You guys get free shipping on orders over $50. Even if I ordered for $1000, shipping wouldn't be free!
OK let's see. GKN boots at fcpeuro. $30 for a pair and $45 shipping
Add taxes, I'm looking at $120-130 CAD for 2 boots
Rockauto for 2 Rein boots (not sure if it's better or worse than GKN) is $50 CAD.
Shipping is $15 CAD however it was less because at rockauto you can combine shipping and i wouldn't order the boots on their own.
2 new Cardone axles is $150 CAD for both lol
Now I only calculated the cost for 2 inner boots. There's also outer boots.
No wonder nobody buys those boots and people just buy complete assemblies, which also include the boots!
To take the axles apart, completely derust and paint them is no saving money for sure! But it's satisfying you restored/repaired something.

So, would any of you buy those boots from fcpeuro for $30 and pay x1.5 for shipping?

I've been ordering from rockauto for 10 years and this is one of a very few occasions that I had a problem. They clearly didn't properly number their product.
I emailed them so hopefully they'll figure it out. I can't believe they got rid of their phone customer service.
