I think it is a major contributing factor. Do you think mobiltiy can be weaponized?
My reference to mobility was the ease we get from place to place in US and virtually anywhere in the world. Not sure what you are referencing.
A naturally occurring virus is different than a natural immunity. Immunity comes from having antibodies from having the disease, vaccinations etc. Right?
Then we should have ceased to exist years ago. Due to all of the brand new naturally occurring viruses from the beginning of time, from bats, etc. It should have wiped us out already. Prior to vaccinations.
We have been lucky so far that man has found ways to defeat the viruses or they died out.
This virus is certainly a bad one. WH house is investigating whether virus is manmade. Comments from experts I have heard say it is not. I'll go with the scientists on this one.
If inconsistencies have already been discovered in the reporting, how can you trust any report? Government official, scientist, reporters, etc.
Trust the scientists knowing that they are learning about this virus and their instructions will evolve as they have more data. Same is true of projecting number of infections and deaths. You wouldn't go to a plumber for expert input on fixing an X5 problem would you?

I don't understand your point about food poisoning, not washing hands etc.
Why would you have to be close to a bat?
In one report it was said that the individual consumed the bat. If it were tainted meat wouldn't you just end up with food poisoning. If that was false reporting, and it was exposure to the bats themselves in an open market, it would then be the handling of the animals. That would mean the lab plays no role in the exposure. I am waiting for more evidence before I come to any conclusion.
Why does it matter?

The impacts to the economy and stock market are cause and effect. COVID 19 is the cause and the effects are the negative impact to to the economy and stock market. The economy shock was because the country was closed and other countries had already closed that traded with us. The stock market dropped because of impending impact to our economy, negative effect on big companies, the economies of other countries all ready impacted, the market view of how the virus was being addressed, there was no known end in sight, no way to know how many people would get sick or die, etc.
Yes, but do you think there was transfer of wealth? Do you think people/countries capitalized on the crash? Do you think the crash was exacerbated by any of the preceding questions?
Some people have a way of profiting in the worst of situations by luck or intent. Same could be true of countries but I don't believe the virus was intentionally 'released'.
State governors decide who opens or remains closed. Different states can have different criterial. Why are Dallas and Houston opening anything?
Houston has been discussing the reopening in phases. My assumption is, money.
Different businesses are opened in different stages. Some of criteria are level of necessity of business, size of crowd and ability to comply with social distancing. Stages have nothing to do with money.
That is the decision of each individual governor. I don't know the rationales but my guess is their conclusions were based on how likely people will be infected. If Overboost can't go back to work it should be because the guidelines in his area but you will have to ask him.
But if the masks work for the grocery store and hardware store, why not all commerce?
Masks are only one of the criteria. See above response.
I don't understand how our power matters unless we had the power unless we had the power stop the virus and didn't use it. Did we use it and fail?
A bat vs. U.S.A, and the winner is.. A bat shutdown the most powerful country in the world? A sick bat at that! We better go back and reevaluate the real threat to our national security then. Is it Trump, or the bats?
Power doesn't matter. Wisdom does. We didn't use our capabilities wisely or prudently.
The first step the US made was address flights from China which was already too late. At that time there were no restrictions on arrivals from Europe to find those infected. To this day the President is still telling us it is not as bad as the experts say, thus experts are too careful what they can say and what they dare correct. This virus is brand new. We are learning a lot but we are a long way away from learning enough to do everything correctly. There are no standards for a plan for reopening from WH. I would say the CDC is far more qualified to prepare a plan than our Governor, wouldn't you agree? And, it is true that we didn't do enough soon enough and still are not capable of the amount of testing and tracking per the guidelines.
So, the million dollar question is..? Where those flights weaponized?
No, absolutely no indication this was an attack.
It could be true that conflicting information indicates there are falsehoods. Couldn't it mean that there are only differences of opinion, some bogus information out there, political spins, fake news etc that is just confusing?
Or could it be that information is being hidden? And its leading to reporting that is incomplete or inaccurate.
So you believe it is was planned attack on the US by a person, persons, organization or country to increase their wealth?
Only time will tell what really happened during the start of 2020. But I am definitely not going to be naïve to what is happening around me.
