Looks like the AC's & sunroof's direct control modules (the "control center roof" & IHKA) are under the control of one of the major gateway modules...the JBE (junction box) module: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...ronics/csgGD2D

Here's another link to info about the JBE: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...ronics/XVDnMDM

The air conditioning/heating system's control module is the IHKA: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...rsion/GP9io2f2.

I believe the jbe is also known as the body control module. I’m willing to bet this is the culprit after all that’s been tested on my vehicle. Do you know if this module is interchangeable if it’s from the same yr make and model? I want to avoid bmw at all cost because they will surely overcharge for programming. My x5 is a 2007 4.8l fully loaded with dual climate controls. I also found a module from a 2008 4.8L, also fully loaded with dual climate controls too.
