It's now showing code 4A4E, Glow plug cylinder 3. So its indeed the Glow plug issue. But code 4949 Glow system configuration stays there..
I replaced the control module already, as bought from ebay. I searched what people says it could be a defective one, but its not 100%. I really don't wanna spend over $400 from dealer to try it out... Can someone give some help on this or know definitive guide to troubleshoot code 4949? Or can we ignore code 4949?
Thanks

So you had a controller code (4949) and plug 2 code. Replaced the controller and swapped 2<>3. The 4949 stayed but the plug code moved to 3?
I dont know how the DDE 'traps' errors on this system. It may not be super precise in how it detects an error in the module versus individual plugs.
My impression is that GPs are like spark plugs: who replaces them one at a time? They are a maintenance item...just saying
Did you buy a new OE module on ebay? Used? OEM? or an aftermarket part?
Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if replacing the one bad plug clears it all up. Likewise, I wouldnt be surprised if you need to replace all 6.
