- I'd remove the spark plugs and inspect them, if still good re-use them ( I use a tiny of anti-seize on the threads).

- If there is any oil in the cylinder, suck it out.

- A bit of smoke is OK, but it should go away quick.

- I last did this CCV Mod (the BavarianE39 CCV Mod) a few years ago and about 20K miles ago. So far ZERO oil consumption. Unbelievable mod.
