No @bc, I would love if the official name was covid-19. That is the disease not the virus’ official name is sars-cov-2 which was called the w virus or the ch wh virus by *literally * everybody until they named the disease. They apparently overlooked giving a human friendly alias to the virus itself.
*thats* is the problem there is no other alias. Any reference to the virus as the disease is incorrect any reference as coronavirus is likewise incorrect. That’s the make not the model.
The “powers that be” [most likely to be offended] should have come up with a damned alias rather than only producing the scientific name.
I’ll call it whatever they want to call it. Jump off a cliff like a lemming virus is fine with me, they just never did. It has two aliases and one scientific name.
I find virtually all forms of PC talk insulting to anybody’s intelligence he is a perfect couple of examples:
I reporter is talking about black people in Africa and is so afraid of getting fired not using political correct speech she calls them African America.
Second version to point out the absurdity of the term is when Charlize Theron hosted SNL and they used the literally correct but asinine label for her of “African American”; see how clueless it is? It’s not less clueless when the person is Black it’s just more PC.
There is no reason for people to be offended there really isn’t. I’m not saying they aren’t. They have been programmed from birth to be internally racist. (You need some seed of racism to even pick out the differences I apparently missed that week in school or I had a better school that taught there is no such thing as “race” as it’s used today. There is heritage and generic lineage.
So: back to facts: cv19 not the virus coronavirus not the virus wh virus is “not allowed” and sars-cov-2 is a pain in the ass.
I guess “the virus formerly known as Wuhan virus” won’t cut it as PC either.
Find something important to concern ones self with. Why anybody would take offense at these sort of things an deranged lunatics like the case from above should be in a small cell for the rest of their lives.
