It won’t become one. It’s ok to have the opinion that I’m nuts for caring. Clearly from layperson understanding “they” have decided to use a few inaccurate names some of which mean sort of the opposite but to the general public they are equally concerned about the virus and the disease they don’t care to know the distinction.

My my contention is that fact is driving much of the anxiety and if people will learn the difference they will be able to lower their stress and anxiety. AIDS is worse than HIV; covid-19 is worse than sars-cob-2. Simple facts like this can help end the full stop on life as we know it.
