Of course your challenge is that you are in a location where deep knowledge of (1) how to fix BMW diesels and (2) how to delete BMW diesels may be a bit ‘thin’.

I do not think there are downstream issues that may be exacerbated by DPF/EGR issues. HOWEVER, it can be challenging to troubleshoot non-related issues when there is an EGR system failure. Knowing “is it the emissions system or is it something else” can be challenging for untrained mechanics. Combine that with you, as the owner, telling the mechanic “yeah I want to remove” or “yeah this stuff causes problems” there is about a 100% chance they will agree with you.....
