4.4/4.6/4.8 rear caliper dust boot replacement

Hi all.
So I just bought a set of used rear calipers and I wanted to fully rebuild them but I can't find any way to remove the dust boot. I removed the piston and everything else from the caliper body. I've cleaned everything and am ready to reassemble the parts but I can't get the boot back over the piston.
Is there a way to remove the dust boot somehow??? It seems fused onto or pressed onto the caliper permanently and ive been pulling hard. Hard enough to the point that I don't care if I rip (yet it's NOT ripping). Argh.
Any advice please?
