1. Parts on cars are not self-contained digital devices that communicate their status as perfectly accurate "good" or "bad" messages
2. Parts are declared good or bad by the DDE/DME and other computers that monitor current and voltage to these modules against respected responses.
3. The GP only activates when cold
4. Hence it would not be odd to be able to clear it after start/warm up and not have the GPs activate again until they are cold. The next time the DDE could evaluate them is at cold start.
5. It would be odd to have 6 GPs all fail together and the GPCU be AOK.
