A major part of the problem is those that are only thinking of themselves. Those are the ones that aren't wearing masks in public. Those are the ones that aren't maintaining social distancing or not washing their hands. It's those that contend it violates their rights or are saying nobody is going to tell me what to do or those that won't wear a mask because of politics.

It's very clear how to control the virus. Where they have followed the recommendations the infection rate has dropped and stayed low. Those that don't know what we have to do to control the virus just aren't paying attention. New York has been very successful. They didn't do anything other than follow the CDC guidelines.

As far as the those that aren't wearing masks, the only possible solution is for the Federal government to mandate masks nationwide and establish a penalty stiff enough to get their attention. That's what is happening in other countries that are controlling the virus. At this point the Fed should be saying we will have to close the country down as the only alternative if we don't wear masks in public, maintain social distancing, wash our hands, reframe from pubic gathering etc. We will make that decision in 14 days based on the behavior of US citizens.
