I can’t tell you what’s right for you. I can say this unit handles Apple and Android devices, is easy to use, and doesn’t limit your OEM equipment in any way.
From what you said, I feel you might be after an NBT upgrade - the he’s du it from later model year vehicles. You can check out
https://www.bimmer-tech.net/ for details on that, but it’s a more expensive and complex process. I personally feel the NBT systems, ironically, lose the OEM look in an E70. You do you though.
