Purplefade, that makes sense to me too. However, the valvtronic as you say was actually plugged in for this experiment. And when it was unplugged the smoke at idle wasn’t just “reduced” but disappeared completely. I’m sure I’ll eventually wind up replacing the VSS, but until then this is an enjoyable experiment!
