We're getting soaked in Paradise

It's been raining throughout the islands during the last 3 weeks and causing landslides, flooding, and major soil erosion in the islands of Kauai and Oahu. We've been lucky in Maui, we didn't get that much rain except the last 2 days.

Today the rain stopped but the weatherman claims that it's only temporary. It's supposed to get back to normal weather this weekend. I hope none of you guys were here the last two weeks or planning to arrive this week

Coming out of our neighborhood, this view caught my attention specially the hairline waterfalls. Normally this mountain is covered with clouds at the top. But save this picture if you like Maui. In about 5 years, the area above the pines will be littered with new homes! A developer already has some approvals to proceed with the development even though many residents are against the defilement of this beautiful area. Even as a Realtor, it sickens me to no end that Developers had to choose this serene location to fill their pockets.
