TriX5 is on a distinguished road
Found the problem

Took off the engine covers to get to the vac lines and the IM. Was poking around to see if the EGR cooler spring was functional when I came across this little beauty.....

So, this piece of flex pipe comes with a sensor attached, not yet sure which sensor that is but the price for the piece with the electrical items is $179.99. Lovely....

While searching for the part number (haven't found the correct item on realoem yet) I came across an item on Facebook that is just the flex pipe for $18 from an outfit in Dallas, GA. It is on this website: <https://www.tunemyeuro.com/ccv-hose-for-bmw-diesel-3-0l-engine-m57-x5-35d-535d-and-335d-aar2238/> It is labeled "CCV hose".

Ordered it and while waiting for its arrival I will dig around in the vac lines. They look pretty sorry but can't find any obvious leak yet.
