Good info.

FYI, my 06/2001 built 2001 3.0i still has its original BREMI coils in there as I approach 200k miles.

My understanding was that there were two "styles" they used in these cars: BREMI = roughly circular with the two ears; BOSCH = square top.

For replacements, various manufacturers will make these two different "styles." So if you find it confusing (like I did) when you see an item listed as a BREMI coil, with someone else's brand on it, this is why.

STI now owns BREMI, so STI is OK.

My car, rear 3 coils:
On #5 you can see the date stamp of 19.05.01, which I believe is May 19, 2001, which makes sense for my June 2001 build.
