Optimistically..(but Clockwork is probably right), I had my passenger side mirror start hanging up on me a handful of years ago and I thought I was screwed. When I finally broke down and inspected the mirror I found that even the slightest little bit of pressure on the mirror made it work perfectly - so I washed the mirror and surrounding area with HOT soapy water and sprayed a little bit of deep creep around the two moving pieces of the mirror body and I haven't had a single problem since and that was literally years ago, only thing I can figure was something gummy had gotten in there and "stuck" it up


But I'd try that before I took my mirror apart for sure
