TriX5 is on a distinguished road
Congrats on joining the ranks of E70 owners!

Recommend you try getting Inpa/Ista loaded on a laptop, hard to diagnose these machines with generic codes.

I just replaced my gear shifter only to find that the unit I took out needed a lick of grease in the mechanical bits. But before disassembling, can you compare with any other owner?

Coding the amber lights out is easy once you get the hang of coding in general which takes time and dedication and is not so simple. Some risk there if not done correctly. Start by looking at this video to get an idea of the complexity, then check Bimmergeeks if you think you want to try this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zf-7KVp3oU0

Post a picture or two! :-)
