Dang. Should have checked back, it might have been the right part. I appreciate the offer but i bought one and put it on this weekend. Noise hasn't come back. Old damper isn't as stiff as the new one, but it doesn't seem bad enough to cause misalignment, and still not sure why only at idle after hot restart, never any other time.

But it's gone now, so...
