I do have a Foxwell. I went and told it to deal with the rain sensor and it said it could not find it, which is correct. I don't have one.
Confirmed visually by looking at the windshield, where a rain sensor would be, etc. No problems with this part of my car. I think the whole wiper system is working as it should, with the addition of this apparently rarely-programmed feature.
But completely unrelated news ... my right rear window regulator clip FAILED again. I replaced just that clip and the window clip in my dealer-replaced genuine BMW regulator back in 2017. Heard a crack a couple of weeks ago (while up in Lake Tahoe, rolling down the window so my dog could enjoy the scenery and smells), stopped using that window, and finally checked it just now. The Power Windows Solutions brand clip I bought from Amazon has just cracked clean through. This clip is a full plastic one vs. the originals and some replacements which are part steel and part plastic.
Not that this is unexpected or newsworthy.
I would not even mention it if I weren't already posting. I swear, these BMW doors and windows ...
