Did you have a chance to reattach the rain sensor? If so, did you use double sided sticky tape? Was your purple mount okay?

Here is a post on a different forum using clear silicon. Looking at this method, I'm not super impressed with as it appears very messy and in the event of a replacement windshield would be a pain to get the purple lens off (without breaking it too). The STOCK way of doing it is with double sided sticky tape which I think is much easier.
I need a new purple lens and cannot find one for a decent price. $50 plus shipping from overseas. Looks like I might have to roll around in the wrecking yards to find one.

Yes the plastic is hard to find. The tape however isnt. I see it on ebay and other sites.
I think even RockAuto has them.
I am actually not that worried about the rain sensor right now. It may be a pain to fix but at least I know
what the problem is with the wipers and headlights not activating with light changes. I have read up a
little on my issue and its appearing to be the ignition may be my problem/solution as others here have pointed me towards.
