SAS failure is not uncommon. Your can buy a kit to repair for half the price of replacement.

I've gotten SAS error 2-3x over about six years and I've just dobei the recalibrate routine and it came back to life for another 6-20 months.

What you can't see from normal real-time data is are there weak spots where it skips values or jumps.

If the resistor had a weak spot and jumps from 60 to 65° that is not possible so the computer will shut down the system
