The X5 - bumper cracked, two middle PDC sensors knocked out, tailgate dented. Thankfully the exhaust was undamaged (my 4.4 has the 4.8 bumper and exhaust). Insurance estimate puts it over their limit and they want to write it off. Not happening. I'll wade through the insurance appraisal nonsense, get the value raised and see what I can get to get it repaired. Sorry to hear about your luck.
I have personally used streetsvilleauto.com several times for appraisals. He will give you a fair appraisal of your vehicle and not that bullshit offer the insurance company will try to give you.
Sometimes the insurance company will let you buy back your vehicle and cut you a check so I would investigate that option, get your X back and fix it yourself.
Used bumpers are relatively easy to find, tailgates are available all day long on Kijiji or the pic n pull yards and I have used PDC sensors if you need or you can buy them off Amazon for about $20 a piece if I remember correctly.
