How do I diagnose the fuel pump? I believe I have seen data on it in my scan tool. Is there a certain spec I can refer to?

Also, if it was a fuel issue why would it have no issues at WOT and just partial load?
I've never had to personally deal with the hpfp on the n54/55 so can't help much with diagnosis methods. On older bimmers you would hook up a gauge at the fuel rail.

As to why it's only good at wot I'm not sure as to a reason but have seen it before. It may be a clogged fuel filter? At any rate, I would start with the fuel system personally.

Others will chime in who are better at diagnostic procedure I'm sure.
