SB1120 is on a distinguished road
I have the same situation. I ended up installing the 13 64 7 597 870 which crosses to 62805 (Bosch/rock auto). I purchased the 13 53 7 568 607 (62804) originally per the SIB only to find that they wouldn’t work based on just a physical comparison.

The top of the 62804 where the hp fuel line connects is square on 3 sides and rounded on one side. After some searching, these are meant to be held down closer to the nozzle end with brackets and then the spark plug/injector “wells” are covered by a metal plate. The 62805 is held in place towards the top via the square shaped, stepped part of the injector.

I am chasing an intermittent choppy idle and very slight bucking (mild misfire) when I gently release the brakes from a stop and creep. I have smelled a stronger than usual fuel smell when pulling the oil cap after a significant drive. And I notice a buildup of sooty grime on the back of the car (could just be from burning oil..) Fuel economy is eh but it is winter.

I have coded the injectors, but I just have a feeling something isn’t right. Tonight I noticed that when I have the map light on, I can see it flickering which changes with rpm. It seems to also follow the injector pulse meaning when I blip the throttle the intensity and frequency of the light flicker changes and then quits briefly while the engine coasts back to idle then the flickering continues. After a bunch of searching, I stumbled on this thread.

Any updates?

I have a 2012 built 12/11 ( which makes things great when buying parts right at the production change cutoff...) 185k Miles, tons of work and parts to save this e70 from a salvage yard. Yes, I probably sound crazy but it was a price I couldn’t pass up and I’ve been servicing it since it was out of warranty so I know most of the history.
