Welcome...my add'l 50Cts is if looking into whole house gens, you will probably have a few installers/dealers that do almost only gens vs a 'standard' electrician, in your area.
My local person, (who did the orig 20 yrs ago and the replacement a year ago), does ~ 90% generator work and 10% std electrical work; he happens to be a Generac 'dealer'/approved installer. Your area may have similar people but experienced in other brands, as I wasn't pumping the Gen brand generator.
22 kW runs a lot of 'house', as seldom do people have every electrical situ on in their house.
Otoh, with this recent winter and the TX situ, I suspect many are looking into whole house gens which may equal shorter supply, jacked pricing, and installers backed up.
Nearly every house on our Mtn ridge/top has a WH gen, as we all have propane of some tank quantity.
Those with nat gas in their area are fortunate, though propane does well for us for hot water, boiler fired heat, dryer, and the Gen.
