With all of that.

I think I posted the spreadsheet for Red at some point. If not I'll do it soon. Up to ~$25000 for purchase, maintenance/repairs, and discretionary spend (personalization) for 7 years of ownership. Many of the parts I've ordered are still in boxes on the shelf but were ordered as part of future PM projects.

You can't buy a nice Camry for $25000 and "enjoy" it for 7 years without putting more money into it. And insuring Red is probably a lot cheaper than a brand new Camry. So I keep buying old Bimmers just as you do oldskewel.

The only real downside... is the garage time. But I am still young enough (almost 40) that the "man cave" time is a nice recouperation/reset from the stresses of other areas of life. Most of the time anyway, sometimes it's maddening frustrating.
